A downloadable game

(Pre-Alpha)

A prototype showcasing various elements of Mithos, a narrative driven first person shooter currently in development.  Everything you see is a work in progress and subject to change; this is a proof of concept for the core mechanics I intend to flesh out into a full experience. Features:

-Several "vignette" maps intended both as stress tests for various hardware and playable sketchbooks of different environment types planned for release in the future.

-Arena: Small, contained level with spawnable enemies to experiment with combat and movement mechanics.

-Dungeons 1 & 2 (UNFINISHED): rough blockouts for the intended flow of indoor combat and platforming.

-6 ranged weapons, throwable equipment (grenade only ATM), 2 dedicated melee weapons, and close-quarters melee attacks.

-Inventory system with several pieces of armor and energy color options to customize your Ranger!

-Near complete gamepad implementation, including aim assist, acceleration, and reticle magnetism (disabled on mouse and keyboard)


Recommended Hardware:

This is still up in the air as new features are constantly being added, changed, and removed. However, as a baseline, the minimum specs required to run Unreal Engine 4 are as follows:

-Windows 7 64-bit or later

-Quad-core Intel/AMD processor @ 2.5 GHz or faster

-NVIDIA GeForce 470 GTX/AMD Radeon 6870 HD series card or higher

-8 GB RAM


For further clarification, the machines used to develop Mithos are running Windows 10 and have the following specs:

Primary Rig:

-AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB

-AMD Ryzen 7 2700X @ 3.70 GHz

-16 GB DDR3 RAM

Secondary Rig:

-NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1660 SUPER 6 GB

-Intel Core i5-9400 @ 2.90 GHz

-8 GB DDR4 RAM

Development Laptop:

-NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti 4 GB

-AMD Ryzen 5 4600H @ 3.00 GHz

-8GB RAM
